They reference her love of books (they show her reading Leaves of Grass), they make fun of the people who come to see lewdness, and as one of the few self-produced female Kpop groups, (G)I-dle gets paid royalties on their music (and they have more artistic freedom).
Sara that sounds amazing. I'm just getting on a conference call with a client in 9 mins but will go watch it later. Thanks! Nice to see someone actually recognizing who she was, not some crazy made up nonsense.
It's good that you are bringing some reality to the story of Marilyn Monroe's life. It's so sad that she has been repeatedly exploited.
Isn't that the truth!
Netflix now disappoints much more than it thrills. Not surprising that Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" is a better summary of her life.
That's sad to hear. Netflix started out so good. Or at least it seemed. If you saw Sara's comment above, music is doing her better than movies.
Last week, the kpop group (G)I-dle released a new song which is IMO a much more respectful homage to Marilyn Monroe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCO7f0SmrDc

(note: I'm a huge fan of this Kpop group)
